Every official platform, what Reload doesn't run on, and a full breakdown of the Expansion Pass, crossover content, and special physical editions.
Official Platforms
Persona 3 Reload launched February 2, 2024, on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows PC, with day-one availability on Xbox Game Pass. A Nintendo Switch 2 version followed October 23, 2025.

Matches PS5 performance targets, with day-one availability through Xbox Game Pass.
Runs at 1080p targeting 30 FPS, consistent with the platform's other current-gen ports.
Runs on Unreal Engine 4 with support up to 4K/60FPS on capable hardware. The full Expansion Pass, including Episode Aigis, is available as DLC here too.
Launched at 1080p/30FPS across docked and handheld play. A December 2025 update added a Performance Mode, boosting docked play to 60 FPS.
Performance
Frame rate and resolution can vary with scene complexity, particularly during Tartarus exploration and large-scale battles, but these reflect the general targets as of the most recent official patches.

| Platform | Resolution | Frame Rate |
|---|---|---|
| PS5 / Xbox Series X / PC (high-end) | Up to 4K | Up to 60 FPS |
| PS4 / Xbox One | 1080p (varies) | 30 FPS |
| Switch 2 — Docked, Performance Mode | 1080p | 60 FPS |
| Switch 2 — Handheld | 1080p | 30 FPS |
Common Confusion
A few search terms come up often enough that they're worth addressing directly.
No — the original 2006 Persona 3 and Persona 3 FES were PS2 exclusives. Reload is a separate, ground-up remake requiring PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, or PC.
No official mobile or Android version exists, and none has been announced. Any app claiming to offer Reload on a phone outside official app stores isn't legitimate.
There's no legitimate way to obtain Reload as an ISO file. The only supported paths are PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Steam, and Microsoft Store, or physical retail copies.
Persona 3 Reload does not support cross-save or cross-progression between platforms. Progress on PS5, for example, does not carry over to a Switch 2 or PC copy — each platform keeps its own save ecosystem, tied to its respective cloud save service where available.
Reload has been localized into 13 languages in subtitle form, including English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Spanish, and Turkish. Voice acting is available in English and Japanese only, regardless of subtitle language.
Expansion Pass
Announced March 6, 2024, roughly a month after launch, the Expansion Pass rolled out in three separate waves rather than all at once.
The Persona 5 Royal BGM Set and Persona 4 Golden BGM Set, letting players swap certain tracks during exploration and battle for music pulled from those two entries.
New cosmetic outfits themed around the Velvet Room for the full party, bundled with an accompanying music set.
A full remake of the epilogue chapter from Persona 3 FES, plus a new optional superboss challenge against the protagonist of Persona 5.
The Big One
This expansion is significantly more than a cosmetic add-on — it's a nearly standalone continuation of the story, centered on Aigis and the surviving members of S.E.E.S. in the aftermath of the main game's events.
For players focused purely on the core narrative, the base game is a complete experience on its own. Episode Aigis is the one piece of paid content most likely to matter, since it adds real narrative closure rather than being purely cosmetic.
Crossover Content
Separate from the Expansion Pass, Reload also offers crossover DLC pulling content from its sibling titles — mostly cosmetic and musical, aimed at long-time series fans.
Physical Editions
Special physical versions varied by region, with different headline items bundled into otherwise similar packages.
Should You Buy the DLC?
The base game tells a complete story on its own — no DLC is required to see the original narrative through to its conclusion.
Episode Aigis – The Answer is the one purchase most worth considering. It was a meaningful part of the FES experience and adds real narrative closure and new gameplay systems, not just cosmetics.
The BGM and costume packs are optional flavor for long-time series fans who want nostalgic callbacks to Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal during their playthrough — skippable if you're focused purely on the story.
