The Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad — a circle of students who fight the Dark Hour so the rest of the city never has to know it exists.
The Protagonist
A transfer student who awakens the rare ability to summon multiple Personas. His story is now told through first-person narration rather than the second-person voice used in the original English localization. His Fusion Spell abilities have been converted into Theurgy skills.
Yukari Takeba
An upperclassman who wields a bow and is one of the first party members the protagonist meets. Her Social Link explores her complicated feelings about her father's disappearance and his ties to the Kirijo Group's early experiments.
Junpei Iori
The protagonist's easygoing classmate and one of his earliest friends at Gekkoukan High. His arc deals with feelings of inadequacy as he watches his friends grow stronger, given more room to breathe through new Linked Episode scenes.
Akihiko Sanada
A senior member of S.E.E.S. and a boxer who fights barehanded in combat. His Social Link centers on his complicated relationship with his own strength and his connection to childhood friend Shinjiro Aragaki.
Mitsuru Kirijo
The student council president and de facto field leader of S.E.E.S., and heir to the Kirijo Group — the corporation responsible for the research that caused the Dark Hour in the first place.
Fuuka Yamagishi
Introduced partway through the story, Fuuka becomes S.E.E.S.'s dedicated Navigator. She now has her own SP bar and a set of active Navigator skills usable in battle, rather than being purely a background support presence.
Aigis
An android designated as an Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon built by the Kirijo Group. She joins the party partway through the story and becomes central to the late-game plot and the Episode Aigis epilogue.
Ken Amada
A young boy pursuing his own painful agenda tied to the Kirijo Group's past. He receives expanded Linked Episode content in Reload that deepens his backstory beyond the original release.
Koromaru
A loyal dog who fights alongside the party using a knife strapped to his mouth. His Linked Episode storyline receives new backstory material not present in the original release.
Shinjiro Aragaki
A former S.E.E.S. member who left the group under mysterious circumstances before rejoining partway through the story. His arc, closely tied to Akihiko's, is widely considered one of the emotional high points of the game.
Metis
An additional android character who plays a major role specifically within Episode Aigis – The Answer, tied closely to Aigis's own arc and backstory.
Shuji Ikutsuki
The chairman overseeing S.E.E.S. and its members, whose true motives become central to the story's second half.
